Around 11,000 Eichler Homes were built, between 1949 and 1974. Almost all are located in California, and most of those around the San Francisco Bay Area.

Neighborhood sizes range from around 900 (the largest contiguous collection) in the San Mateo Highlands, to just three (a head-scratching project) in up-state New York.
